Remember kids, being a Goth isn’t about the wearing a particular style of clothes or listening to certain types of music…
It’s about ravaging the Balkans, threatening to sack Constantinople, actually sacking Rome and eventually establishing permanent kingdoms in Southern Gaul and the Iberian and Italian Peninsulas.

Describe a time/event in your life that you’re nostalgic for.
I dunno, it’s weird. I feel nostalgia for very specific things (Playing Diddy Kong Racing on N64, random night drives with Alana, the smell of the market in Kathmandu), but not for large chunks. I don’t know if it’s healthy or not, but I am always so *relieved* that the past is past. A lot of it felt like fighting to move forward.
Maybe I’d say 2010: a bad relationship had ended and I just felt *lighter*. I was legit happy, real, sustained happy for the first time I could remember. I was finishing university, travelling and everything was possible and I was so incredibly free. Also we firmly established our regular-ness at karaoke.
But then I remember getting to Mile 0 after travelling by road from Halifax and having no one to share that moment with. No one who felt it like I did. I’m just so stoked to be back here sharing all of it.
I guess I’m not a fan of the past, but usually totally digging the present.
